Module 1: Stress, Resilience and Self Care Lesson 1 Understanding Stress
This module introduces many of the ideas and concepts that will be discussed in greater depth in subsequent modules. It presents various types of stress and stressors as well as resilience. The module identifies ways to manage stress better and enhance resilience in the work setting. It offers several self-assessment tools and self-care techniques to measure and improve well-being and effectiveness. It also highlights the responsibilities of organizations sending personnel into situations of man-made violence and natural disaster.
